residencies & exhibitions

One of the ways in which almakan promoted the arts was through the Artist Residency Program. In it, an artist would have a given time frame of around 2-6 weeks to have the freedom to transform our past gallery space into a studio environment that belonged to them. This allowed for the people seated in the restaurant, as well as the people outside the building crossing the streets, to get a glimpse of the working environment of the artist, and be able to enter and mingle with them - providing them with both exposure and networking to put their art forward.

in-house design

We at AlMakan take our pride in our in-house design team behind the branding, packaging, merchandising, and graphic design for our Studio and Cube, Street Restaurant, and our sister companies Pam and Cow, Table Otto, and Street Cafe. We also pay attention to any specialized or time specific branding or packaging such as for Ramadan and the National and Liberation days.
